Do I need to live in Virginia to form an LLC here?
No. Virginia doesn't require owners or managers to live in the state. Every Virginia LLC does need an in-state registered agent, and your first 12 months of registered agent service are included. The starter package also includes three months of business mailing address service.
How long does formation actually take?
The Virginia SCC typically processes standard LLC filings in 2–3 business days. Your EIN usually follows within 1–2 weeks once the LLC is approved.
What exactly does a registered agent do?
Virginia law requires every LLC to name a registered agent with a physical Virginia address who can accept legal documents and state correspondence during business hours. We serve as that agent for your first year.
Is the $499 a recurring charge?
No. The $499 is a one-time formation fee that includes your first 12 months of registered agent service and three months of business mailing address service. After the first year, the optional $199 annual compliance package covers your annual registration report and registered agent renewal. Business mailing address service is available separately.
Can I add trademark or extra services later?
